I am happy that you celebrated man-to-man love. I have been with my boyfriend for 19 years. So it is nice to see that kind of love shown in Photography.
You have a tonal range limited to about the mid midtones to black, with good tonal quality within that narrow range. fine dtail is also there.
Here is a hint: If you keep your original shot closer to full tonal range, it will give you full flexibility later for output. Most Photographers "Rights Manage" their Photos. If a customer wants to purchase the USE of your photo for a book cover, it allows the customer to request a darker version. It is MUCH easier to go darker than it is to go lighter.
So you can save a copy and darken it for output to Deviant Art, while still preserving the original in a higher register.
You probably already do this, but remember to always save your original camera shot UNTOUCHED.
Evan after adjusting an image, do not sharpen it. When you are ready to output to a printer, or send it to a lithographic press, or to DA, save a copy of your adjusted file, then size it and set its resolution as needed, and only then is it Ok to sharpen it. The very last thing to do.
